Reforestation workshop - Placerville

CalFire and the University of California Cooperative Extension will be hosting a Reforestation Workshop to provide information and resources to help understand and access resources for reforestation and replanting after tree mortality.
- March 7th, 2018, 100 Forni Road, Placerville
- March 9th, 2018, 18440 Striker Ct., Tuolumne Rd., Sonora
- March 16th, 2018 Mariposa, 5100 Bullion St., Mariposa
Topics will include: forest ecology following heavy tree mortality, reforestation basics, preparing the ground for planting, selection of nursery stock, treating competing vegetation and land owner assistance programs currently available.
Who should attend: Landowners who have lost trees to drought, bark beetle attack and/or wildfire and are interested in replanting, and professionals and agency staff who are working in this capacity.
Logistics: There is no cost for the workshop but space is limited so we would like you to PLEASE REGISTER at http://ucanr.edu/reforestationworkshop/.
Participants will need to bring their own lunch. We will be taking a short field trip to look at bark beetle mortality and replanting in the field after lunch so please bring /wear appropriate clothing/ footware.
